Morganne’s Bio
Morganne is a respected advocate for intersectionality and ecological healing in her field. She is an Afro-Asian, queer, feminist, minimalist, intuitive empath who is a psychologist, coach, and speaker (she/her). Due to her personal experiences as a survivor of domestic violence and systemic discrimination, she is invested in creating a more just world by helping individuals—and us, collectively—heal subconscious thoughts, including internalized societal expectations, while supporting us in developing a deeper connection with our true selves, the Earth, and the universe that surrounds us.
A believer in community and collective healing, Morganne believes that each of us carries the spirit of advocacy in our existence; and furthermore, that your health is activism.
By training, Morganne is a licensed therapist and a school psychologist with twenty years of experience. She specializes in decolonized holistic mental health, intersectional environmentalism, ecological healing justice, complex post traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), grounded intuition, and wellness for intersectional sensitive people and empaths.
Academically, she trained at Temple University, specializing in child welfare and clinical social work, and later studied school psychology at Eastern University while receiving post-graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the University of Pennsylvania.
As a solopreneur, proud founder & owner of a decolonized holistic mental health concierge practice, Journey CBT & Counseling, Morganne offers integrative mental health care, intuitive healing sessions catering to intersectional sensitive people and empaths, and psychological consultation to mission-aligned organizations. This platform allows her to spread awareness about CPTSD, decolonized holistic healing, and collective empowerment. Her practice is located in Arlington, Virginia in the DC Metro Area.
